Dawn and Gary, (also known as SuSu and Poppy) have a one year old grandson, Cohen Ezra, by their daughter, Bree and son-in-law, Daniel. Britton, their son, lives in Dallas, Texas and has begun his professional career in commercial real estate appraisal.
Dawn is a first time author with aspirations to encourage and inspire others to live a life of abundance. Wrong Place at the Right Time tells the story of how Dawn's difficult childhood marred with abandonment and the early death of her father and mother caused her to stumble throughout her adulthood, only to find a loving God ready and willing to heal her pain. She has triumphed through adversity with an ability to laugh at herself, yet learn from her mistakes, all the while living a surrendered life to Jesus Christ. From wretched to redeemed, Dawn will inspire you to live life to the fullest, in spite of a haunting past.
Dawn enjoys photography of nature; reading, writing, home decorating, sewing and just about anything to do with animals, especially dachshunds.
Dawn is also active in her community serving the down-trodden, the poor and the brokenhearted. She has a true compassion for the less fortunate. She enjoys leading women to the hope of Christ through her testimony of faith. She speaks for women’s groups, fund-raising events of all sizes to share the gospel with all. She sincerely desires to leave a legacy of hope and faithfulness.
